Celia Cruz and Adalberto Santiago (along with bandleader Ray Barretto) collaborated on the highly acclaimed, GRAMMY-nominated 1983 salsa album Tremendo Trío! released by Fania Records. The hit record perfectly blended the Queen of Salsa's powerhouse vocals with Santiago's legendary sonero style.
